PS89 Liberty School is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to empowering our diverse community through innovative teaching, collaborative learning, and a strong foundation of respect and responsibility, preparing students to become confident and compassionate global citizens.
At PS 89 learning is infused with inquiry and collaboration. This emphasis encourages a respect for differences and independent thinking.
On September 10, 1998, PS 89 opened its doors to students for the very first time.
Community building, an important aspect of education at PS 89, is supported by the citywide anti-bullying program, Respect for All.
