93% of PS89 students registered, and 
EVERY CLASS won the registration prize for extra yard time.

Rules of the Read-a-Thon:

• Reading Dates: March 17th - March 31st  
• Students: Read their favorite books and record daily minutes in Reading Log
• PK/K Students: Listen/Read with help from grownups
• Parents: Log minutes online via your page at www.pledgestar.com/ps89 (you will see a "Reading Log" column with a book icon - click on the book to log minutes). Minutes can be logged daily or all at once by March 31st

Prizes:

• Cookie Party: The class that reads the most minutes per grade
• Book Dedicated to Library: The student in each class that reads the most minutes will choose their favorite book to write a dedication and donate to the library. There will be a celebration at the library for the top readers and each child will bring a gift home!
